South West United Hockey Club's Division 1 program is vital to the big picture of the club.  For this reason, the club has decided to invest into the program at a new level.  SWUHC has created space for 2 marquee players for the 2021 season.  The core purpose of these 2 marquee players is to enhance the advancements of the current player group, as the club continues to progress at the elite women's club hockey level.

If you're currently playing women's hockey at an elite level, and you're looking for a new direction in your club hockey, then this opportunity could be for you.  Follow this link for more information https://www.recruitment4hockey.com/.../2021-female.../ or alternatively, contact Phil at philjhockey@gmail.com or Ange at swu.angelindop@gmail.com

Summer Hockey

Stick Drive 2020

We’ve created a new initiative for 2020 to assist with our recruitment drives, with particularly emphasis on our junior side of the club.  The aim of this initiative is to get as many hockey sticks into local homes and families across our communities as possible, increasing the awareness of our great club and our great sport.

What we’re asking for is that all your old junior sticks that you no longer want, which are in fair condition, be donated to the club.  These sticks will be reconditioned (if required), and then given away to those new to hockey via the school programs we run, plus at our Come and Try and Sign On events.

If you can help with getting sticks to the club, great!  If you have any hockey friends that won’t receive this message but might have sticks, please share.

For more information about this initiative including where to drop the sticks off, please email Phil, our Head of Development, at philjhockey@gmail.com.

Head of Development

As South West United HC looks toward 2021, our club will maintain our commitment to the development of all our members.  We want to keep our rate of improvement at a high level, and the Head of Development role is vital to delivering results in this space.  The Head of Development is a dual-purpose role; “recruitment” and “development”.  The Head of Development will work across a number of areas including working with schools, creating recruitment events, creating development opportunities for members across the whole year, plus providing ongoing support for all our coaches and teams.

During these closing stages of 2020, SWUHC is well and truly in planning mode.  If you have any ideas on how to further advance our great club, please get in touch with Phil our Head of Development.  You can reach Phil at swu.philjackwitz@gmail.com.
